I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
